Reliability Engineer

Onsite either location: Lancaster, PA   York, PA | Ozark, AL

Base Salary: $80,000 to $110,000

A growing industrial organization is seeking a Reliability Engineer to develop and implement a structured approach to equipment maintenance and reliability. This role will focus on mitigating issues before they arise, optimizing equipment performance, and driving continuous improvement. Additionally, the company is investing in a new Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to enhance long-term success and sustainability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute reliability improvement strategies to reduce downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and enhance preventive (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs based on data-driven insights.
  • Lead reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as mean time between failures (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR).
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and reduce failure rates.
  • Evaluate and integrate condition-based monitoring technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis) to prevent failures.
  • Support new capital projects by ensuring equipment design aligns with reliability best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and training to maintenance teams on reliability engineering principles.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry standards and incorporate them into company practices.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) through ASQ or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in reliability or maintenance engineering within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in RCA, FMEA, RCM, PdM, and maintenance best practices.
  • Experience with CMMS and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
