Maintenance Technician
Hourly Pay: Up to $28.71 per hour, 12 hour rotating shifts
Location: Myrtle Beach, SC
Maintenance Technician to support and maintain critical systems in a highly specialized manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and thermal/mechanical systems with strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in PLC programming and industrial equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems used in manufacturing.
- Maintain and repair electrical power systems, including digital/analog circuitry, AC/DC drive systems, PLC systems, lasers, and power distribution.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including cranes, balers, casting, winding, and packaging machines.
- Utilize CMMS systems for scheduling maintenance tasks and tracking equipment performance.
- Conduct failure analysis and assist in developing troubleshooting guides, work instructions, and procedures.
- Operate welding, cutting, and burning equipment as required.
- Serve as a member of the emergency response team, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills using Allen-Bradley RSLogix 5, 500, and 5000 software.
- Basic understanding of PLC communication networks and loop tuning for process optimization.
- Experience troubleshooting at the computer interface, box, and board levels of industrial controllers.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces as needed.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and take a leadership role in troubleshooting.
- Ability to use respirators and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) in compliance with safety regulations.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Industrial maintenance experience in electronics, electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and AC inverters (required).
- Hands-on experience using Allen-Bradley RSLogix 5, 500, and 5000 software (required).
